All days are nights to see till I see thee

-Sonnet XLIII

A musical journey through Shakespeare’s poetry

Music: Dimitri Daskalothanasis
Sonnets: William Shakespeare

“All days are nights to see till I see thee” is a concert-performance, a journey that weaves together traditions and memories through music and poetry.

At the heart of the project are Shakespeare’s sonnets, Greek and French poetry and the compositions of Dimitri Daskalothanasis, which recall patterns from the Mediterranean tradition blended with rock soundscapes.

The songs are performed by two singers, Alicia Glowinski and Katerina Vlahou, accompanied by a five-piece ensemble: piano, accordion, electric guitar, bass, and percussion.

“All days are nights until I see thee” is an invitation to explore the bridges between cultures, emotions, and artistic expressions. An experience where every act becomes part of a narrative, a memory in motion.

The work was successfully presented this year in Paris and Blois, as well as in August 2023 on the island of Sifnos, at the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Agios Andreas, and in Serifos, in the atrium of the “Perseus” building of the Archaeological Museum of Serifos. The performance was organized as part of the August Full Moon celebrations by the Ministry of Culture and the Ephorate of Antiquities of the Cyclades.
